Mary Scanlon
is a Los Angeles based professional ballroom, Latin, salsa, swing and tango dancer,
instructor, and choreographer. She began performing
and competing on the USC Ballroom and Latin Dance
Teams where she was the captain of the formation
and ballroom teams. Since then, she has immersed
herself in the dynamic swing, tango, and salsa club
scenes. She is a member and founder of several Los Angeles based
professional dance companies. Currently, Mary is
working as a dancer and choreographer in many stage,
film, commercial, and television productions including
Taco Bell, Gilmore Girls, and Chuck. Her technical expertise, creative choreography, and fun teaching style have made her a much sought after dance coach and choreographer. Currently, she coaches the University of Southern California's Salsa Club and Whittier College's Ballroom and Latin Dance Teams. You will also find her teaching at the Beverly Hills Country Club, the Hollywood Dance Center and the Westmor Dance Studios. She
has traveled throughout the country entertaining
audiences with her performances and sharing her passion for dance with
everyone from young children to movie stars.
